3, 6, 9 vs. 1, 5, 10 – Tesla’s Numbers and Mine 30.05.24
Nikola Tesla is known for coming up with a divine or cosmic set of numbers that explain a great deal about the universe.
Those numbers were 3, 6, and 9.
This blog is for armchair experts just as much as it is for specialists so I’ll admit I dont know much about the numbers offhand, would have to dip back into my research to divine what was so special about these numbers to Tesla.
That said, I have my own divine set of numbers based upon biology and common sense. I choose: 1, 5 and 10.
1 body, 5 digits on each extremity and ten to each set.
Numbers vary due to birth and happenstance but this is the trend amongst humans and it is rather unique too, so if we were to be biologically deterministic and assume that the body informs the mind and thereby community and culture then the unique human setup of five fingers, five toes on each body extremity, ten fingers all together (thumbs count) and ten toes, this, then, under biological determinism is the basis of the Humanities and the human sphere of influence.
1+1+0 (1 and 10 added up numerologically) make 2. We have two feet, two hands, generally.
Let’s break down the individual pieces:
1.
As said before it is one body. One universe perhaps. Singularity amongst union. We embrace individualism as well as communion with a greater ONE, monotheism being quite popular currently still and trending down but still, it had a good run.
American embrace of individual liberty helped their soft power dominate world culture for as long as it has. We like being number 1 too. Two people become one to form a baby. Multiplying things by 1 gives tautologies. It is what it is. Acceptance in the tautology. Whatever happens has reason and rhyme, even the absurd or unforgivable. Most things that occur, when given context, become akin to tautologies they simply are what they are and undeserving of emotional labour. Stoicism therefore finds its place in the 1. Everything that is has an explanation and a logic, even if marred by miscalculation and flawed, all the same very little requires a response and instead systems thinking should be used to address the paradigm creating circumstances that then produce negatives. A whole philosophy of life can therefore be found in the 1.
5.
The five is corporial. We have 5 points to our body, head and arms and legs. 5 points. When adding the 1 to the 5, we get the individual body communing with the greater 1, a pentagram, the source of the golden triangle which is replicated infinitely within the star of the pentagram, and a body. It is demonized as a 6 – number associated with the devil thanks to Dante Alleghiri – and so we see when the individual attempts to control the universal 1 or the body 1, it often gives poor results – a 6. These numbers condemn witchcraft as a superstition that can make the body feel divine a 1 and a 5, separate but connected or it can go to an extreme and meld, 1+5=6. Devil’s number, sign of a negative energy.
I know numerology makes you sound like a very weird and chatty calculator. Two 5’s make ten.
10.
Excellence. 10 is the highest order of our base 10 world. Multiples of ten are considered to be simple to add together meaning 10 is accessible and near universal. Between 1 and 0 we have binary, the code base for all things digital, a phenomenon that has swept the world and now gives us the power to create a new lifeform: Artificial Intelligence. The binary is also a universal for many societies, giving us ‘man-woman’, ‘old-young’, ‘smart-stupid’, ‘fat-skinny’. Etc. Binary is about Yeses and No’s. This has dominated human society where we know there is a good and a bad, but not being sure when binaries apply, when to divide the 1, the union of all things, and become more than one cell, with finitude and definition and hierarchy. 10 out of 10 is the definitoin of hierarchy because it means you can also fall short.
10 is therefore contentious. Ten can be divided by 1 and 5.
1+5+10
Gives us 16. 1+6 gives us seven. Seven, heaven. Life is a dichotomy of good and bad trying to resolve back to goodness.
1+5+1+0
Gives us 7 again. Once more we reach for heaven through the oneness of the universe, through the five-pointed body, and through excellence and having the intelligence to create things like binary code and the discernment to know some things are not good for the balance of the universe and the body, we have to say No to them.
1+10
Eleven. I think of Stranger Things (which I haven’t really watched) and Spinal Tap – turn it up to eleven. I also think of tragedies like 9/11. And November. And Beyonce singing 7/11. And then the convenience store. Basically 11 is pop culture and current events news about terrorism, again something is bad but we don’t know how to categorize or respond, violence emerges as a result. So perhaps 11 is simply extremes. Extremely popular things and extreme behavior and phenomena. 1+1 brings us back to 2. Duality, two eyes, two nostrils, two ears, two knees, two parents.
On a personal note, these numbers figure into my life. Without revealing too much, birthdays with these numbers figure into my life with great significance.
So. While Tesla may celebrate and deify 3’s, 6’s and 9’s; I rather center my attention upon the 1’s, 5’s and 10’s!
