Written by Fastfrwrd is a green platform for socializing ecologically. The aim of the platform is to gamify climate action and make it fun to make a climate impact. We orient ourselves towards adults because grown ups have the most to gain from climate impact and the most autonomy to do something about it.
Adulting is awful. Giving your time to others rather than being able to wake up and do what you wish with the day. There are numbers dictating what you can do with already existing and nearby items for sale that you may not be able to afford but they simply are just there, waiting to be used.
Fastfrwrd is geared at adults because it can be so dreary sometimes to be a groan up, typo intended. We need play. We need motivation. We need representation of our worth. We need the immaterial things that make life rich. We also need easy access to healthy and safe food. Healthcare. Material things that sometimes require payment. How can we do this while still being ecological?
Fastfrwrd does not seek to say we have the answers to these things but at the very least it is a place to contemplate and brainstorm such things with an available support system for rewarding and safeguarding ideas on such things, actions on such things, information on such things.
Fastfrwrd is a playground of utility, the spoon full of sugar, the fun behind what an eco platform should be: green, opensource, community built and owned, cooperative, democratic. A bit bawdy. But effective.
This 2026 we really want to test how far Time Banking ecological work can go. Can we buy food with it? Can we hire services with it? Can we buy daily goods with it? What can we do with Time Banking?
I mention ‘time’ in music often. Nothing more precious.
Fastfrwrd explores Time Banking ecological work to see if this green platform can provide a means of exchange that allows one to be free but also participate in a market.
