So guys, we’re behind on offsets and having the wilding shift feeling where you just want to run away offgrid and live away from everything and just literally stop being a detriment to our surroundings.
But even bigger than that. Jamaica is low on weed. The storm Melissa destroyed the Western side of the island where a lot of the crop grow.
I believe we should use guadua bamboo to grow and build with while teaching natural building lessons. Sailed in along with the guadua. Those who can carry large amounts of the grown ones can help us rebuild sooner.
Timing must be taken into account. However there is also the question of the marijuana we have now and the higher cost. The next crop is estimated to come in by February of 2026, according to a vendor on the island.
Is there and ecological and legal way to get us more crop?
Let’s focus on guadua. But what about weed. That’s gonna require some optimism. We need our local MPs in Jamaica to negotiate weed deals on our behalf because this can be bad for mental helath, people use it medicinally.
We have survived which is the best we can ask for sometimes but the concern is mostly about how we rebuild. Done imagining the worst. Let’s imagine the best. For one’s own sake. Imagine the best of everyone when they show their worst. They have lived because at one point someone fed them when they were helpless. They have been helpless before.
Sometimes we remember, sometimes we forget. It just shouldn’t affect one this much. And many agree. One person’s tantrums should not shake the world, no matter who they are.
The ability to be free dictates that there should be room for such things and that one is chiding needlessly when everyone can do as they wish, why not. You do you, I do me. Everyone happy.
The laws to travel are not you do you, I do me. The laws of housing aren’t you do, I do me. So actually it is fair to want to do you and I do me. But not JUST for one type of person due to a game we all play. The money game.
It is fair to want to do what you want to do when you want to do it. And others will choose what they want to as well, some people are soft spoken some people are nervous but excited speakers, everyone is on their wave.
What are the waves that we need to catch in order to ride the current and not let it ride us? You do you and I do me.
Ok! So back to guadua: lessons, please teach natural building to anyone who wants to learn. Can we do this ecologically? Can we carbon neutrally rebuild this island? Please? Is there any way? We cannot continue as is with such a big warning.
