Deplastification’s Docs ▸ Oral Hygiene

A bamboo toothbrush stick with cotton rag detachable in stead of bristles, a bamboo stick with metal string between prongs for flossing, and a bamboo tongue scraper.

I have been testing an alternative to plastic toothbrushes. The idea is to remove plaque with a cotton rag fabric on a bamboo toothbrush body, replacing the cloth regularly.

CLOTH

Made from organic cotton cotton rag material with folds of thread that can rub plaque away.

STICK

Made with bamboo and shaped just like a regular toothbrush stick but with a head that attaches to the rag, with a hook or metal clip on or some other method for attachment.

FLOSS

Shaped like those floss sticks but recycled scrap metal wire instead of plastic string. Cloth cannot clean between teeth, so flossing necessary.

TONGUE SCRAPER

Made of bamboo to scrape tongue since cloth brush cannot clean tongue.
