SOLUBRIOUS Game Design Document

You are a Sol.

You are a (choose, cannot change later):

  • Noble (have slight advantage with theoretical knowledge and gain XP (experience points) for checking Fillian Salas science broadcasts[???? Not that exciting or challenging] figuring out marketplace “Game Items”)
  • Worker (have slight adantage with spirit energy and totems, gain more XP for releasing totems)

Your Carbon Neutral Goals (choose, these can be adjusted later):

  • Food
  • Water
  • Clothing & Accesories
  • Household
  • Transportation
  • Health
  • Pets
  • Plastic
  • Gadgets
  • Entertainment
  • Workplace

Choices you make affect the group pool of your side, Worker or Nobility. Working together through individual sums of effort that add up for your group is what it’s all about.

Once a month, a chunk of story is released. As are marketplace “Game Items” to fix societal issues in the key dimensions of the multiverse affect by Sols’ interdimensional travel. 73 Billion souls across the multiverse need your assistance in combating ecological disaster as the spirits of nature go elemental due to Rothar’s technology and inventions.

Your group choices and real life eco actions affect the story and what happens next.

[Code category type tally per month and week etc for easy overview of type of actions taken]

Are you prepared for this adventure? As you transform your personal world, know that the weight of the multiverse is not upon you, but you and your group.

Cooperative play means you will be able to make awesome strides in bigger impact actions which will sometimes be prompted and you and your group can accept.

Are you prepared to save the multiverse? We can’t do it without you.

Tools

First. Your Carbon and Greenhouse Gas Calculator (more below). When you need to make choices of ecological actions to take, you can calculate how much of an impact you are making and add it to your group’s tally.

Next: Your Psymitter will be your best friend. This device allows you to see and travel the multiverse and get broadcasts from the spirits and representatives. You already have it in your hand! And you can find and release elemental totems with it too, more on that later!

Finally: The Fastfrwrd marketplace “Game Items” category is often used to purchase units of clean energy, and other climate fixes after you and your group have decided how to spend your eco points (named Dews) and what to invest in. But, it can sometimes be tricky so be prepared. The Rothary (those still loyal to the deceased king and his way of doing things) are a mighty opponent.

You can also add wildcard “Game Items” of your own and change the story if your group or enough ‘rogues’ choose it, making the storytelling hyper-interactive.

Month by month, we make strides. Are you ready?

Month 1

Hantos announcement Rothar deceased, no more kings or queens, repair multiverse by targeting the primary dimensions.

Tash broadcast: Workers of Solibri, you are free from working in Rothar’s workhouse using spirit energy and making problems worse. Your job now, should you accept it, is to work to repair the multiverse.

Sanaa broadcast: Nobles of Solibri, you have been raised to understand natural systems in the hopes of becoming monarchs. While that incentive is no longer present, the fact is, now, a threat exists to tear apart all worlds and transform them into stillness. We cannot let that happen as we will be no more. Your task, should you choose to accept it, is to stop this from happening!

Fillian Salas broadcast: Dear Sols of Solibri. I am Fillian Salas, your science advisor. You can text me anytime with questions about the science behind any task and I and my assistants will respond with information. There are prompts written in the text box, just click to send. I also provide briefings on the progress made in saving the multiverse! The good news is: it can be done. We’ve got this!

INNOVATION TEMPLATE for “Game Items”:

Item

Description

What it replaces

Cost in energy to implement

Cost in materials to implement

Cost in dollars to implement

How much energy saved (in 10 year short-term)

E.g.

Reusable Doctor’s Glove & UV Sanitizer on Solar power

Heat Pumps HVAC

Tools Details

Carbon and Greenhouse Gas Calculator

Assessment Mode: Assess the Greenhouse Gas and plastic footprint of a specific item based on average study estimates

Compensation Mode: A further step after assessment to calculate how many trees would absorb the emissions

Comparative Mode: Compare the options you have present for the more ecological option.

This includes looking into: Does it produce methane, does it require transportation, does it need gas to be cooked for example, does it use high temperatures to be manufactured, does it require a lot water resources and pumping electricity, does it make heavy use of artificial fertilizer and pesticides, does it make use of plastic or Styrofoam, does it leave microplastics, does it require electricity, does it require refrigeration, does it leach chemicals or release chemicals into waterways? And so forth.
