I have made the song “Rattle” on January 23, 2026, to commemorate going viral with a Bjork cover on January 23, 2015 and to ring in the new year with a 1, 2, 3 part of the luck and the songs made around this project! This song was made Carbon Neutrally between Canva and Bandlab in Ecosia. On my phone. Which has been compensated until February 2nd, 2026. This song features sounds from my new compost bin, an old juice box, my foot (in a shoe with socks, shoes not eco), my right hand slapping my right knee, a glass and a spoon, and of course voice.

I will need to tighten the delivery as a stretch goal but it is in a perfectly shareable format. Once the final trimmings are done, I shall send it to the radio station! Mission to produce a song at the beginning of the year as a part of the Fastfrwrd 2026 Project, accomplished! Great protest song with call-and-response! Adopt a rally song, this is my 3rd attempt at a protest song and this one is my fave!

Lyrics, 103 BPM:

On the count of three

Oh no here comes the danger

It’s rattle you,

Rattle me

Rattle everyone

And On the count of three

Just you try, say his name twice

He’ll addle you

Addle me

Addle everyone

This here fire

A bright and shining spike

Oh you feel the burn

And now you’ll learn not to be so damn poor boy

1, 2, 3

Being boss like abc

Easy!

Go along, another gone and now the man on top.

On the count of three

He comes with so much danger

It’s rattle you,

Rattle me,

Rattle everyone

And on the count of three

Just you try, say his name twice

He’ll addle you

Addle me

Addle everyone

(Saddle you, chattel me and cattle everyone)

[Trump milking the earth like a cow, spritzing milk and oil in the air] +1*

[Blows out a hamburger kiss] +1*

Now to start

Being like the man on top

Easy, cut em short and break their hearts with stiff backbreaking labour

A la carte

Being boss is quite the part

Easy

Never think a carbon sink will clean the mess behind you

On the count of three

Oh no here comes the danger

It’s rattle you

Rattle me

Rattle everyone

And on the count of three

Just you try, say his name twice

He’ll battle you,

Battle me

Battle everyone

Now we know

All the power is just so

Easy, never think or lose a wink over your bad behaviour

Cover up, spin it out there’s so much stuff

Easy!

Con them all until youre gone and then just leave a charity

January 24, 2026 Edit: I actually sang it a bit lower in the first takes and I think the tempo was a bit faster. The song leaves you winded. It’s great for call and response though. But had it been a bit lower pitch and a bit faster, when DJs speed it up, it won’t be annoying and squeaky. I’m also aware the high pitched scratchings can be grating if you don’t view the song favourably. Further to that, I know that it is a ‘partisan’ implication but it has a very wide interpretation. It is about what’s fair.

January 25, 2026 Edit: Current Rattle search shows the proof posts… temporary fix. I would have to go into Gmail to get the permalink for the post and I am boycotting Google as much as possible… can’t rely on that to get the post link.

Did I mention the bluetooth headphones mic would activate when I tried to record with my only remaining functional headset so I had to record with the metronome out loud. It ruined most of the audio quality and why I switched to Bandlab in Ecosia. Oh gosh. I keep wondering what eco faux pas’ I could have made… the metronome wasn’t made ecologically, but run green. Same for Bandlab. Had I stuck to Canva. The company is built green. It would have been even more eco. I need an analogue metronome.

January 26, 2026 Edit: I purposefully didn’t listen to anything the first few days of recording. Toward the end I started to dip my toes back in. In the middle I watched and rewatched episodes of South Park I have downloaded. Should I be scared to admit I pirated?

I’m just poor guys. That’s not my fault. It literally helps keep me alive these small pleasures. Some things you can watch over and over again.

Hm. I think I pitched my voice to match the metronome.
